CBD and its Medicinal Properties

CBD is an abbreviation for cannabidiol, and it is a component of medical marijuana, obtained from the flower of an industrial hemp plant. It is one of a hundred compounds found in cannabis, or more popularly, marijuana, but by itself has no psychoactive effects.

Hemp, or industrial hemp, is a general term for a variety of Cannabis plants. This useful and adaptable plant can be converted into the fiber, oil, wax, resin, fabric, fuel, etc. When it comes to hemp, the first association is usually marijuana and all its side effects, however, we will deal with hemp here as a cure – since this herb has several amazing medical effects.

Hemp is lactose-free, and an incredible meal replacement for people who are allergic to nuts. Hemp can help with many medical conditions. The primary psychoactive substance in marijuana is tetrahydrocannabinol, better known as THC. It is on the list of controlled psychoactive substances. Unlike THC, CBD shows no potential for abuse or addiction.

This compound has only come into focus for the last ten years. In the early 1990s, scientists identified the endocannabinoid receptor system – that is the signaling system in the human brain. The endocannabinoid system (ECS) exists and is active in the human body regardless of the possible use of cannabis. Although it is still being tested, it has been found to play an important role in many functions and processes in the body, such as inflammation, chronic pain, metabolism, cardiovascular function, liver function, sleep, stress, appetite, memory.

It is believed that the use of cannabinoids such as CBD can have a curative effect and lead to balance. Research, as well as personal testimonials from users around the world, indicate that CBD works on diseases such as MS, psoriasis, but also diseases that are much more common such as high blood pressure, diabetes and stress.

CBD has proven to be promising in controlling inflammatory reactions and discomfort caused by Crohn’s disease. CBD has so much potential in regulating Crohn’s disease and bowel diseases that it is considered as a new class of medicine for bowel diseases.
